Interaction Design Manager

Pure Digital has an opportunity for a passionate and talented interaction design manager to join our smart, fun-loving development team in downtown San Francisco. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting directly to the VP of Software Engineering.

The challenges involved in developing a simple, intuitive, yet high quality product reach beyond the hardware of the camcorder to also envelope the software applications that complete the Flip Video experience. Specific responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Representing the product vision for compelling, intuitive, fun user interfaces across the product lines
  • A stakeholder in the process of forming and reviewing product requirements (MRDs and PRDs)
  • Identifying, hiring and managing design resources as needed
  • Coordinating design deliverables with internal and external resources
  • Managing usability research activities

Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for coordinating and managing the annual budgeting process as well as the ongoing forecasting and analysis of the company’s financial performance.  This position reports directly to the CFO.  The successful candidate will understand and be experienced in a manufacturing company where inventory planning is a critical component of the financial plan.  The successful candidate will also understand the business dynamics of selling through the retail channel, including insight into channel inventory flow, returns analysis and sales compensation structures.  The ability to work closely with marketing staff to forecast demand, and with operations staff to forecast supply, is critical to this position’s success. This position will develop financial models and evaluate business proposals, working closely with senior executive staff and department management across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting activities for the company.
  • Plan and manage the ongoing evaluation of the company’s financial performance preparing monthly and quarterly financial packages.
  • Perform product line and customer contribution analyses.
  • Forecast, analyze and report on revenue.
  • Partner with marketing to monitor and evaluate channel sales and inventory flow.

Engineering Program Manager

Pure Digital is looking for an experienced Engineering Program Manager. Responsible for managing projects for Pure Digital’s FLIP camera products, this is an opportunity to join a world-class team and build fun, exciting products. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment, leading both US and Asia-based engineering and design teams to deliver the electrical, mechanical and firmware deliverables and outstanding products. The person filling this position must be pro-active and posses a desire to succeed in a challenging environment.  Strong leadership, communications, and team-building skills are essential. High-quality consumer electronic and/or digital imaging products experience is desired.

REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

  • Program management of the Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware and Industrial Design deliverables in accordance with program objectives.
  • Work with Product Management to define product requirements and define key program goals.
  • Program manage the detailed product design and development process.
  • Coordinate and manage the manufacturing partner selection process, including RFP's.
  • Work with the Project Manager to establish the cross functional project schedule.
  • Coordinate with the development resource managers to establish resource and risk management plans.
  • Task and drive program ID, EE, ME and FW teams to achieve requirements.
  • Set priorities and drive decision making and executive escalation as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and development management of ODM and 3rd Party design resources.

  • Provide recommendations to PDT Engineering management on product enhancements, quality improvement and cost reduction strategies.

Senior Project Manager

Senior Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for overall maintenance of the Company’s accounts. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller.  The successful candidate will understand and be experienced in general ledger accounting and have a general understanding of GAAP.

REQUIREMENTS

Key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assist in the month end close process; address routine accounting issues
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports

Marketing Manager

Pure Digital is looking for an experienced marketer to provide integral support to the team in driving the growth of its recently launched Flip Video business.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented marketer with a background in consumer marketing (i.e., consumer packaged goods and/or consumer electronics) or consulting with strong analytical skills.  Must be creative and strategic thinker with proven abilities to execute successful marketing programs. 

This role will work closely with various internal cross-functional teams (including sales, finance, and customer service), as well as external agency partners.  This is a unique opportunity to help build a high-growth, high-visibility business at the intersection of classical consumer products and consumer electronics. 

REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

  • Own volume forecast and analysis of business performance
  • Compile and interpret category data from NPD and other sources
  • Structure analyses to determine ROI on various marketing programs including
    online advertising, print and television campaigns.
  • Derive conclusions from analyses and make recommendations to management
  • Manage Marketing budget, including forecasting and tracking
  • Work with external creative agencies on developing brand marketing materials

Channel Mktg Manager

The Online Channel Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting all product and promotional initiatives at our on-line reseller accounts (e-tail accounts), under the guidance of the Director of Channel Marketing. This person will handle all day to day marketing activities in this channel segment, and work with the sales organization for successful implementation at the account level.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will:

  • Translate the strategic direction in this channel segment into tactical plans and implement accordingly.  Responsible for driving online merchandising and positioning of Flip Video products and accessories.
  • Working with the Account Management Team, this person will own execution and management of all activities related to product selection, advertising and promotional support at all e-tail accounts.
  • Manage front-end of all Channel driven web marketing and sales projects. This includes selecting product positioning, pricing and promotions related to customer implementation and any other purely web-based projects we undertake in order to drive sales across all channel online properties.
  • Manage Promotional Calendar and Menu to track and support promotional activities across all retail partners.
  • Track and report on POS and marketing efforts in the e-tail channel segment.
  • Provide weekly updates on sell-through data and marketing projects to the Sales & Marketing Management.
  • Prepare monthly summary reports on sell-through results and marketing expenses for Sales and Marketing Management.
  • Provide significant input on quarterly business reviews for e-tail accounts in the form of sales data and marketing program/promotional re-caps.
  • Surface any new opportunities within the e-tail channel segment for new business. The Channel Manager should be our resident expert on this market, making sure we are knowledgeable of trends, account developments and competitor’s activity.

Position Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in related field,
  • 3+ years work experience in e-commerce marketing. Other  retail channel marketing experience highly preferred.
  • Experience working with the following accounts a plus: Amazon, Best Buy.com, CircuitCity.com, Zappos, Buy.com, Dell, Walmart.com, Costco.com
  • Sell-Point, Flash Demo creation and delivery tools.
  • Highly literate in the language and processes of e-commerce. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, basic HTML
