Packing for a vacation is exciting! It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a timeshare (covered by wholesale timeshare insurance) or are traveling for the fun of it, it’s always thrilling to open your suitcase and get started on the “what do I need?” process.
What beach are you headed to? The destination really does make a difference. For example, Folly Beach off of Charleston is white sand and bathwater-temp waves. Ocean Shores in Washington State is grey and cold, with thick sand that is more like pebbles.
In any case, the essentials for the beach are more or less the same:
- Sunscreen (yes, even for the Pacific Northwest!)
- Swimsuit and towel
- Brimmed hat
The Great Outdoors
The wilderness is calling you and who are you to ignore its call? If thick trees and dirt are your things, you already have the camping necessities like a tent and flashlights. Depending on the season, the weather can vary greatly in the woods.
Check what the conditions will be like while you’re on your adventure. Things to remember in the meantime, however, include:
- Bug spray
- Hiking boots
- Sweatshirt and a waterproof jacket (nights can get cold)
- Heavy socks that cover your ankles
You will have fun no matter where you go, but understand the weather and climate conditions of your destination. Not only will it make packing easier, but you will also know what to expect upon arrival.
